  • Some Issues with the Appeal Process and Procedures – Richard McKee (Retired judge of the Upper Tribunal) – A look at problems commonly encountered in preparing for, and appearing at, immigration appeals. 
  • Asylum Claims and where we stand with the Rwanda saga – Julian Norman (Barrister, Goldsmith Chambers) – Julian will discuss Rwandan Affairs, providing an update on asylum claims and the future of the Illegal Migration Act 2023 with or without the Rwanda scheme. 
  • Changes to the Work Visa routes and the New Immigration Salary
    List
    – Sarah Pinder (Barrister, Goldsmith Chambers) – Sarah will cover recent changes affecting the Skilled Worker and other relevant work routes, focusing in particular on the changes brought about in April 2024.  This will include the increases in minimum salary levels and changes to dependant rights. 
  • Immigration Law Update Summer 2024 – Richard McKee (Retired judge of the Upper Tribunal) – Will focus on changes to the Immigration Rules (principally HC 590) since the last webinar in February. 
  • Case Law Update – Family & Private Life Claims/Article 8 ECHR  – Samina Iqbal (Barrister, Goldsmith Chambers) – Samina looks at the protection afforded by Article 8 ECHR in relation to both family and private life claims. She will take delegates through the Immigration Rules, recent authorities and policy documents, with useful tips for applications based on family and private life.

  • Panel Discussion –  – A session answering your questions.
