Richard Mckee(Retired judge of the Upper Tribunal)
Long Residence and Section 3C

Sarah Pinder(Barrister, Goldsmith Chambers)
Article 8 update
(Article 8 updates on children cases and criminal deportations – Sarah will cover an in-depth look at how the courts approach family cases, post the Supreme Court decision of KO (Nigeria), as well as, whether the light is beginning to shine at the end of the tunnel in criminal deportation cases.)

Dr Anton Van Dellen(Barrister, Goldsmith Chambers)
Hamid hearings
(Hamid courts were established in 2012 when the court gave guidance regarding the consequences for solicitors’ firms and legal representatives of non-compliance with procedural requirements of Judicial Reviews. The court would not hesitate to issue a notice for solicitors to show cause at a Hamid hearing and refer persistent failure to follow the procedural requirements to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”). The scope of Hamid courts have progressively expanded since then and particular expertise is needed to respond to a Hamid show cause letter.)

Richard Mckee(Retired judge of the Upper Tribunal)
